Solved – Backup Exec 2014 console crashes after installing .NET Framework 4.8

Hello everyone,

is been a long time since my last wrote

Today i will share how to solved backup exec 2014 console crashes after installing the .net framework 4.8

when i try to install the .net framework 4.8 on the Backup exec server (windows server 2012 r2) it’s running without failure message.

And then i try to running the backup exec console after the installation.

It will show like below picture

event name CLR20r3

i try to repair the backup exec console but no luck.

and Uninstall it and try to reinstall it but it still happened.

After that i try to search how to uninstall the .net framework 4.8

i found the article in here, that we need to Uninstall .NET Framework 4.8 and reboot server. This update will be listed as KB4486105 (Windows 2012 R2), KB4486081 (Windows 2012) and KB4486129 (Windows 2016) in the list of installed updates. For Windows 2008 R2, remove .NET 4.8 through Programs and Features in Control Panel.

After reboot, the backup exec console will running as usual.

Solved – Install cisco vpn client on windows 10

This guide will help you to solved install cisco VPN on windows 10.

  • download DNE on this link and at mid-way through the page under “Other DNE Problems” you will find the download link to 32-bit and 64-bit version of DNE installation file. Download the file and install it on your Windows 10 computer.install the DNE software and then install the VPN client
  • after that go toHKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\CVirtA

    Double click DisplayName and

    For x86, change the value data from something like “@oem8.inf,%CVirtA_Desc%;Cisco Systems VPN Adapter” to “Cisco Systems VPN Adapter”

    For x64, change the value data from something like “@oem8.inf,%CVirtA_Desc%;Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows” to “Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows”

  • And your VPN client shoul be working now.

Microsoft Lync 2010 cannot start. The product license may be expired

Hi everyone,

if you have problem with lync “Microsoft Lync 2010 cannot start. The product license may be expired…” like below pic

What you must do is

  1. remove microsoft lync 2010
  2. And then install microsoft Communicator 2007 R2
  3. After that install microsoft lync 2010 client

Troubleshoot – Outlook 2010 Cannot create file

If you have problem like below error, when opened the attachment from outlook 2010

You can try to cleaning up this below folder, and then restart the outlook again. It’s simple right? 😀

Migrate from Officescan into Sophos Antivirus

This month will be the last time our organization using the Office scan trend micro, we will using the Sophos Antivirus.

This time I will tell you how I install the Sophos antivirus from background process.

And this is the step :

Firstly we need to uninstall the trend micro, using below step

  1. Choose networked Computers – Client Management – and then
  2. Choose the computer that you want to uninstalled

 

After uninstall the trend, I try to manually install the Sophos from the background using below command.

If you have an access as administrator to all computer you can do automatic install from Sophos Console.
